Two Islands (2018)

Filmed in January of 2018 through the awarding of a LaMattina Social Justice Film Grant from Boston College, Two Islands is an intimate glimpse into the current state of the refugee crisis in Greece three years after massive populations began fleeing their war-torn homes in 2015. The film delves into the human stories behind the crisis told by both the refugees still living in camps and by the Greek citizens that have been witness to the migration and hardship. On the islands of Kos and Lesvos and on the mainland in Athens, the film presents the collective hopes for the future of all people who have had to flee the violence of their beloved home countries.

The film has received the Boston College Arts Council Student Art Award (April 2018) and the Boston College Film Studies Department's Costa-Gavras Social Justice Award for Remarkable Work in Film (May 2018).
